Training Programs for First Responder Teams
According to OSHA Standard 1915.87(c)(2), “The employer shall ensure that a first aid provider is able to reach an injured/ill employee within five (5) minutes of a report of a serious injury, illness, or accident such as one involving cardiac arrest, acute breathing problems, uncontrolled bleeding, suffocation, electrocution, or amputation.”
Given that many companies in this region of New England do not have an emergency department within five minutes of the workplace, the implementation of a First Responders team is vital; not only to achieve compliance but also to ensure the safety of all employees.
Wellness Works can help you create and implement a First Responder Team that meets OSHA standards. We have nurses who can train and certify your employees in the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver® First Aid, CPR, and AED Training.
